Southport Football Club’s fixtures for the 2020/21 season have today been released.
The Vanarama National League North is back at the Pure Stadium on Tuesday 6 October, when Hereford visit in the first league fixture of the new season.
The return to action after seven long months is great news for fans, who saw the Sandgrounders’ season ended prematurely by the Coronavirus pandemic in March.
The campaign starts with an Emirates FA Cup Second Round Qualifying tie on 3 October before hosting the Bulls three days later.
The Sandgrounders’ first away league trip is to Kettering Town on Saturday 10 October.
Southport FC 2020/21 fixtures
The festive double header games see a change to the norm with Curzon Ashton providing the opposition.
On Boxing Day, fans can enjoy watching Southport FC face Curzon Ashton at the Pure Stadium
Local derbies at the Pure Stadium include games against Chorley on Saturday 17 October, AFC Fylde on Saturday 1 May and against Chester City on Saturday 8 May.
There are an increased number of midweek games made necessary by the later start to the season which now ends on Saturday 29 May with a trip to Kidderminster Harriers.
