The Southport Comedy Festival in association with Halliwell Jones has sold out its first show for next year’s 17 day event at Victoria Park in Southport.

Tickets for Chris McCausland’s evening show on Sunday 5th 2025 October have now gone.

However, there is still a chance to catch the newly crowned Strictly Come Dancing winner at the festival.

Due to popular demand the festival added a matinee performance which since Chris’s win on Sunday is selling fast.

Southport Comedy Festival Director Brendan Riley said: “We are very proud of our comedy friend Chris and can’t wait to welcome him back to our festival in October.

“Chris has been a friend since his early days in comedy so it has been lovely to watch his steady rise to fame.

“His show ‘Yonks’, is so titled because of the length of time he has been performing comedy.

“Some people think he is an overnight success but he has been working in the industry for well over twenty years.

“ It couldn’t happen to a nicer and funnier man.”

If you are looking to give the gist of laughter to someone this Christmas the Southport Comedy Festival has more incredible shows on sale.

Ardal O’Hanlon, best known for the well-loved character Father Dougal McGuire on Father Ted, will be performing his most personal show yet  ‘Not Himself’ on Thursday 9th October 2025.

Persian powerhouse and star of the silver screen Omid Djalili is bringing his critically acclaimed ‘Namaste’ to the festival on Sunday 12th October 2025.

The 14th annual Southport Comedy Festival will be staged for a fifth year in a giant luxury heated and seated marquee courtesy of award winning Elite Marquees in the beautiful grounds of Victoria Park.
