The popular annual event has been superb so far, over halfway through 17 nights of laughter in a luxury marquee at Victoria Park in Southport.

There is more fin to come, with a sold out show by King of Southport Comedy Festival Jason Byrne, followed by the likes of world famous prankster Simon Brodkin, the Southport New Comedian of the Year final, plus festival favourites Jimeoin, Paul Sinha and Rich Hall.

The Disco Bingo night on Saturday 14th October has sold out – so, due to popular demand, organisers are now hosting an additional Disco Bingo night on Friday 13th October too! Tickets available on a first come, first served basis.

Fresh from his sold-out, critically-acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run and becoming the most viewed British comedian of all time on TikTok, world-famous prankster and Lee Nelson creator Simon Brodkin brings his outrageous new stand-up show to the Southport Comedy Festival.

In ‘Screwed Up’ Simon rips into celebrity culture, social media, the police, Putin, Prince Andrew and Jesus. Nothing is off limits in this hilarious show, including his own mental health, his family, his five arrests and how he once found himself at an underground sex party.

Dragon Soop and The Southport Comedy Festival are proud to encourage new talent and help them become the stars of tomorrow. Choosing just one winner from an array of comedy talent won’t be easy.

Paul is a familiar voice on radio appearing on Just a Minute, The News Quiz and Fighting Talk. On television, Paul has appeared on QI, Would I Lie to You? Taskmaster and Celebrity Googlebox.

Guaranteed to get the whole room up and dancing, classic disco hits are triggered when certain bingo numbers are called. The entire evening is peppered with music and good-natured banter provided by comedian and presenter Brendan Riley.
