Southport College offers  a range of part time accountancy and bookkeeping courses.

In association with AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), they offer all 3 levels of the full accounting qualification, from L2 – L4, each running September-June.

At successful completion you can apply for AAT full membership which will enable you to use MAAT after your name, denoting your full qualification as an accountant.

There are also shorter bookkeeping courses, also in association with AAT from L1 Bookkeeping as a short 1 session a week for 6 weeks course, through to L2 and L3 bookkeeping, lasting approximately  1 full day or 2 half days a week for 17 weeks each.  Completion of AAT L3 Bookkeeping will enable you to qualify as a Bookkeeper with AAT and to use AATQB after your name.

The AAT suite of qualifications is particularly popular with employers due to its current and robust content.  Plus if you intend to continue to a chartered qualification, the full AAT L4 will also give you exemptions to springboard your study.

This is also SAGE Computerised Accounts and Computerised Payroll.  Each of these level 1 courses is 5-6 weeks and enhances your employability in the industry.

Adults can choose to study as either a part time adult learner or as if they are already employed in the industry, they could become an apprentice, e and there are a range of class times to suit individual needs.
