Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are holding their annual St George’s Day Parade in Southport this Sunday (24rd April), with a new route.
They previously marched through Southport, starting from Waterside Lodge before travelling over the Marine Parade Bridge, along The Promenade, Leicester Street, and across Lord Street to Holy Trinity Church.
This Sunday however they will march on their new route.
They will form up at Princes Park in Southport at 1.30pm, next to The Big Wheel Southport, at Southport Pleasureland.
The parade will leave at 2pm prompt.
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will parade out of Princes Park, along the Esplanade, on to the Promenade, down the slope at the Kings Gardens Tea Rooms, along King’s Gardens, and over the wooden bridge back on to Princes Park.
Once back at the park, they will form a giant horse shoe and renew their Scouting Promise.
Uniforms will be worn.
Parent Marshalls are due to arrive at Princes Park at 1.15pm.
Everyone is welcome to come and support and watch the St George’s Day Parade.
