People are invited to enjoy the Southport Assembled Learning Fayre this Saturday (26th September 2026).
The event takes place at Southport College between 10am and 4pm, with all welcome.
It is organised by Southport Learning Town and aims to bring Southport’s learning community together in one place.
You can take part in taster sessions, talks, and a marketplace filled with a variety of learning groups and community providers.
Come along and find out what learning opportunities are available to you in Southport.
The Southport Assembled Learning Fayre is free to attend and suitable to people of all ages.
A Southport Learning Town spokesperson said:
“The Southport Learning Fayre is live at Southport College until 4pm this Saturday.
“There really is something for everybody – family-friendly sessions from Ignite Drama and Best Start in Life – Sefton, short lectures from Southport University Extension Society and Southport & Birkdale Classical Association, a sing-along with Octave Choir, have a go at poetry with Well Arty, or make your own aromatherapy inhaler with Sefton Community Learning Service.
“Plus Bijou Cinema, Soroptimists International, Edge Hill, Sing for Southport and loads more.
“Free entry, free taster sessions, no booking needed – just turn up and see what you discover!”
The Southport Learning Town initiative aims to encourage people of all ages to enjoy the many learning opportunities available in our town.
The long-term ambition is to secure Southport’s status as a ‘UNESCO Learning City’.
