A much-loved worker at the Asda supermarket in Southport has enjoyed national recognition for her friendly manner and helpfulness today. 

Noreen Monaghan was highlighted for special praise on the official Asda Facebook page, with customers from the store on Derby Road, at Central 12 retail park, also singing her praises. 

An Asda spokesperson said: “Customers at our Southport store have been getting in touch to say how much they love our wonderful colleague Noreen for her friendly manner and helpfulness.

“She’s forever receiving positive feedback from happy shoppers and one customer recently wrote in to say: ‘Noreen’s a lovely lady – always very friendly, helpful and cheerful. She comes to help you as soon as possible.’”

General Store Manager Zara Hunter says Noreen, who’s worked at the store for seven years, is a valuable member of the team who always likes to improve her customers’ shopping experience.

She said: “Noreen’s so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble.

“She always goes above and beyond her duty!

“She always has a big smile on her face and the customers just love her.

“She is so engaging and always gets great customer feedback.”

Customers have given her their congratulations through the Asda Facebook page. 

Danielle Davey said: “Well done yes she is always so helpful, very friendly and always makes us laugh.”

Nikki Nelson said: “Noreen is my favourite! Always try and go to her checkout as she’s so friendly and she always helps you, even without being asked. Lovely lady.”

Jenny Howard said: “Noreen is fab, always so helpful and friendly… well done hun.”

Joan Davey said: “I’ve found Noreen to be most helpful and kind. Noreen always recognises you and makes time to speak to you. Definitely makes shopping at Asda an enjoyable task. Well done Noreen.”
