People are invited to enjoy Southport Armed Forces Day on Sunday 26th June 2022.
The event will take place between 11am and 4pm and will include a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane flypast.
Local Veterans from SSAFA Sefton (The Armed Forces Charity) based at RAF Woodvale are preparing to hold the event in front of Southport Town Hall.
Starting the event off will be a Drumhead Service at 11am in the Town Hall Gardens.
The Southport Armed Forces Day Parade will start at 11.30am on Chapel Street, with marchers taking the salute at Southport Town Hall.
A number of road closures will be in place in Southport town centre, with Southport Half Marathon also taking place on the same day.

There will be modern and vintage military vehicles in front of The Atkinson on Lord Street plus Army, Air and Sea cadets.
There will be lots going on including vintage live music and living history group displays.
You are welcome to come down in your vintage uniform or vintage civilian dress.
Armed Forces recruitment stands will be present along with equipment they bring along.
All Veterans and Military Associations Standard Bearers are welcome including any in wheelchairs and scooters.

If you have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, Regulars and Rof all ages can take part in the parade. There is no need to be part of an ex Services organisation to take part in the parade.
