Southport Comedy Festival sponsored feature
Award-winning comedian Seann Walsh has been confirmed to perform at the Southport Comedy Festival on Sunday 18th October 2026, closing this year’s event. The performance forms part of the extended autumn leg of his latest UK tour, This Is Torture.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (10th April 2026) at 11am.
Following his sell-out 2023 tour, Walsh returns with a brand-new show packed with his trademark high-energy frustration and razor-sharp observations. This Is Torture takes its name from the phrase he says most in life—promising an anxiety-fuelled, laugh-out-loud night of comedy from one of the UK’s most distinctive stand-ups.
You’ll recognise him from countless TV appearances including Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Last Leg and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Seann can currently be seen on our TV screens this week in a special I’m a Celebrity South Africa.
Seann has also built a strong following through his podcast work and online stand-up specials which have amassed over one million views online
Seann Walsh is the ninth show to be revealed for the 2026 Southport Comedy Festival programme, joining an already stellar line-up including festival favourite Jason Byrne, TV Superstar Jason Manford, German comedy ambassador Henning Wehn, king of the one-liners Gary Delaney, legendary improv duo Paul Merton and Suki Webster, Taskmaster star Mike Wozniak, multi award-winning comedian Scott Bennett, and rapidly rising comedy and TV star Laura Smyth , with more shows still to be announced.
The 15th annual Southport Comedy Festival runs from 2–18 October 2026, returning for the sixth consecutive year to its luxury, fully seated and heated Elite Events marquee in the beautiful surroundings of Victoria Park, home of the world-famous Southport Flower Show.
