Ten staff from Linaker Primary School in Southport and the wider Endeavour Learning Trust ran a 12 kilometre obstacle course last weekend in memory of their former colleague.
The staff, including headteacher Mark Cunniffe, ran in memory of a much-loved member of staff, Liz Cadwell, who sadly passed away during the last academic year.

They are raising funds in her memory, which will be used to create a new bespoke reading hideaway within the early years outdoor area at school.
The school is over 90% of the way there to its target of £2600 to build an outdoor reading room for pupils.
This exciting addition will provide the youngest children at Linaker Primary with a dedicated space to enjoy books, stories and reading outdoors, helping to nurture a lifelong love of learning.
Staff took on the Born Survivor challenge in the rugged Ribble Valley. The 12 kilometre challenge, which included more than 30 military-inspired obstacles, mud trenches, water crossings and climbing challenges, is one of the UK’s most demanding outdoor fitness events.
The runners were joined by the late staff member’s brother, Jonathon, who currently serves in the Armed Forces.

It was a fantastic day that showcased incredible teamwork and aspiration, made even more special by the overwhelming support of our wider community. Together, we raised funds in memory of Liz, keeping her spirit at the heart of everything we do. Thank you, Team Linaker, for your generosity, encouragement and support.”
