Students at Scarisbrick Hall School near Southport have been praised for their GCSE results.
A spokesperson for the school said: “Congratulations to our Scarisbrick Hall class of 2024, who received their GCSE results. This year has secured so much success, not only in their academic studies but also in arts, sports, and co-curricular achievement. As individuals, they have embodied the ethos of the school, and we are extremely proud of them.

“Special congratulations go to E Abrathat, O Appleton, E Burness, S Green, G Johnson, A Peat, A Ridley, L Sharma, and X Worlock who all averaged more than 9, 7 – 9 (A*/A grades each). Also to F Fellows who achieved 10 GCSE’s 7-9.
“There was strong achievement across all subjects taken at GCSE level with almost half of all grades achieved at 9 – 7 and 80% of all grades at 9 – 6. Science achievement was particularly high with the vast majority of pupils taking three separate science subjects.”

Scarisbrick Hall School Headmaster Mr Shaw said “We are all incredibly fond and proud of this cohort of pupils. They have all achieved so much and we are excited to see them progress into Sixth Form.”
It is also important to recognise the achievement of Year 10 pupils who also sat their Mathematics GCSE a year early. Once again, the most common grades were at 7 – 9 with a special commendation to H Pitts, M Apostolou, O Cervoni, A Dunham for exceptionally high achievement.
For most of our class of 2024 it is not goodbye but the beginning of their journey into Scarisbrick Hall Sixth Form. Teachers are looking forward to seeing their progress and achievement in all that they do.
