A kind-hearted business owner and fitness expert in Southport is taking to the boxing ring this weekend to raise as much money as she can to support the family of one of the young girls killed in the Southport tragedy last summer.
Sarah Radley-Buck (JB BOXING), who owns the PWR BOX Studio in Southport town centre, will take on Shanice Kay (WCU Boxing) at The Grand on Lord Street in Southport town centre this Saturday (22nd February 2025). The event has been organised by Jake Barton Boxing.
Funds raised will go towards the family of Alice Dasilva Aguiar, who was just nine years old when she was killed at The Hart Space in Southport on 29th July last year.
Sarah has already raised over £3,500 for Alice’s family, with people able to donate via Sarah’s JustGiving page here:

The fight starts at 6.30pm this Saturday, with doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are available via Jake Barton Boxing – Personal Training & Fitness for all walks of life
Sarah said: “Iʼm raising £4,000 to Help Alice’s family navigate through this horrendous time.
“Last summer, Southport was deeply shaken by a tragic incident that took away three beautiful girls. One of which was someone so close to us.
“On this day, Alice sadly lost her life, and it has left an unfillable void in our world.
“I made a promise to Alice’s parents that I would do something in her honor, and with that in mind, I have signed up for a boxing match on the 22nd of February.
“A percentage of every ticket purchased for the fight will go toward this cause. For those who cannot make it to the event but would like to contribute, any donation would mean the world to me, and I am so incredibly grateful for your support.
“Thank you so much for helping me honor Alice’s memory.
“I am fighting for Alice – every punch, every round, every moment of training is in her name. Her memory will always live on.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far we’ve reached £3,500 on JustGiving!
“If you haven’t yet donated, please consider sparing a few £ to support Alice’s family during this unimaginable time.
“While no amount of money can change what’s happened, it can help ease some of the pressure for them.
“The support I’ve received has been incredible, and I’m truly grateful to know and have so many amazing people in my life. Thank you all.”
