Fabulous festive photo opportunities await your family in Southport – and they could win you a fantastic prize!

Santa’s Sleigh, a magnificent Christmas tree and even a festive Carousel horse now take pride of place at Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant on the Promenade in Southport.

On offer is a prize of 1,000 tickets, which can be redeemed for the prize or prizes of your choice inside the Silcock’s Funland Christmas Prize Shop.

All you have to do to enter is:

  • Take a selfie at the sleigh
  • Post your picture or pictures in the Stand Up For Southport Facebook group
  • Tag Silcock’s Funland

You may even see Santa appear in your photo!

Father Christmas will be wandering around Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant, Funland and Carousel in Southport every weekend in the run-up to Christmas.

The Santa’s sleigh photo opportunity is part of the Southport Gingerbread Trail, created by Southport BID for families to discover gingerbread characters in locations throughout Southport town centre.

Silcock Leisure Group Operations Manager Serena Silcock-Prince said: “We are delighted to see that Santa’s sleigh has now arrived!

“It’s great to be part of Southport BID’s Gingerbread Trail this year, which is a really fun way for families to explore all that Southport town centre has to offer this November and December.

“We are really looking forward to the Southport Festive Fun Day taking place this Saturday (23rd November 2024), and hope it leads to lots of people coming into town.

“There is a superb line-up of entertainment on offer on Lord Street, and also lots of things to enjoy at locations like Funland, the Pier Restaurant, the Carousel and elsewhere.

“We have made some festive additions to our menu so customers can enjoy mince pies, mulled wine, hot chocolate, Holland’s festive pies, and more.

“You can also come and enjoy rides on our famous Carousel too!

“We are looking forward to seeing all your pictures! It’s something fun for families to do.

“Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant will be open every weekend in the run-up to Christmas, and every day during the school Christmas holidays except Christmas Day.

“This is a great way of getting everyone into the festive spirit in Southport as part of the Southport Gingerbread Trail.”

Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant is really embracing the Christmas spirit this year, hosting Breakfast With Santa events on the following Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during December 2024: 6th, 7th & 8th; 13th, 14th & 15th; and 20th, 21st & 22nd December from 10:30am.

The mornings will include a delicious breakfast; a festive gift; a visit from Father Christmas; and a ride on the iconic Silcock’s Carousel.

Tickets cost £10 (plus booking free) per child. There will be a choice of breakfast – sausage, hash browns and baked beans or American pancakes with fruit and syrup.

There is a choice of drinks too with either Christmas hot chocolate or juice.

Food such as bacon or sausage barms and hash browns will be available for any adults to purchase too if they wish.

Children will be able to get a Christmas Goody Bag with a gift, prize tickets for Funland and a ride on the famous Carousel.

Book at Eventbrite here.

Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant is also, once again, hosting and the headline sponsor for the Southport Santa Sprint fundraiser for Queenscourt Hospice on Sunday, 1st December 2024.
