This year’s Santa’s Grotto at Wayfarers Arcade in Southport has now sold out!

The popular festive attraction opens this Saturday (4th December) and takes place over the next three weekends.

There are however still some places left for a special frozen themed Grotto, which takes place in Wayfarers Arcade from 20th-24th December.

People can book tickets through the Southport BID website: southportbid.com

This Saturday, Santa and his elves will be setting up shop in a beautifully decorated Christmas grotto inside Wayfarers Shopping Arcade for the first Grotto.

This Saturday also sees a Christmas Makers Market taking place at Wayfarers Arcade.

At the Grotto, families who have booked can meet with Santa, interact with those mischievous StarKidz elves and take home a present too.

Enjoy some time with the StarKidz elves before they introduce you to Santa, who will be waiting to hear all your Christmas wishes. Afterwards, more pesky elves will be on hand to help you to choose a present to take home!

The initiative has been organised by Southport Lions, Wayfarers Arcade, Southport BID and StarKidz.

Santa will be in residence on December 4th/5th/11th/12th/18th/19th   Bookings only.

The Frozen Grotto will then take place at Wayfarers Arcade 20th-24th December.

Santa is very busy preparing for Christmas Eve, but fear not, Anna and Elsa will be in Wayfarers to share a special ‘Frozen’ experience with all their little friends. The Princesses and the Arendelle Elves will be waiting to spread some festive joy, and to pick out a present for children to take home.

Frozen characters will be provided by StarKidz.

The grottos at Wayfarers Arcade are among a large package of festive entertainment people can enjoy in Southport in the run-up to Christmas, thanks to Southport BID and local businesses, which also include a Gingerbread Family Trail, Digital Winter Wonderland, a Trail of Trees, and lots more besides. People are asked to post any pictures taken on social media with the hashtag #southportchristmas

Southport BID CEO Rachel Fitzgerald said: “We are excited to unveil a comprehensive package of festive themed attractions throughout the BID area that will attract shoppers, diners and other visitors to Southport throughout these crucial few weeks in the run-up to Christmas.”
