Sandgrounders Business Club got a taste of Italian sunshine with a special wine night.

The busy business networking group takes place at Southport Football Club on the second Thursday of every month, with entry free.

It’s a great opportunity for local business people to get together, network, form friendships and support each other in business.

The last event saw guests listen to headline speaker Ryan Lewis from Hidden Vines UK while also tasting some of the Tuscan wines sold by Hidden Vines UK.

Ryan was supported by Italian wine producers Francesco Rondolino and Alessandro Allegrini, and was also accompanied by Onofrio Maimone, owner of the Volare restaurant in Southport.

A Sandgrounders Business Club spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who came to our busy Sandgrounders Business Club event at Southport Football Club – our first with an international flavour!

“We are very grateful to our guest speaker Ryan Lewis from Hidden Vines UK along with Italian wine producers Francesco Rondolino and Alessandro Allegrini, and also Volare owner Onofrio Maimone.

“It was a brilliant opportunity to learn about great Tuscan Italian wines from the experts.”

Hidden Vines UK is based in Southport and supplies restaurants and hotels all over the UK, as well as private clients, local families etc.

Stand Up For Southport founder Andrew Brown then spoke to let everyone know about the forthcoming Southport Festive Fun Day on Saturday 23rd November. It’s going to be a special day for Southport! It’s a day you won’t want to miss.

Southport FC Commercial Director Darren Court updated everyone on progress and opportunities at the club and the team’s promising season so far.

It’s organised by Southport FC; Birkdale Insurance; Midgley Carpet Cleaning; and Stand Up For Southport.

The next event is from 5pm on Thursday, 12th December 2024, with a Christmas theme.
