The Sandgrounders Business Club in Southport is inviting people to join them at their next meeting and end the year in style.
The free networking event will take place at Southport Football Club’s Big Help Stadium on Haig Avenue on Wednesday, 13th December 2023.
The meeting will start at 5pm with the speakers appearing at 6pm.
The sponsor speakers will be Andrew Hilbert and Claire Simmo from Dune Radio while the guest speaker will be Scott Blundell from the Southport FC Community Foundation.
There is free parking outside the ground with people able to stay for as little or as long as they like.
There is no charge for attendance, but people are invited to register their place using this link.
The informal gathering is open to businesses in the Southport area and beyond.
Visitors are welcome to drop in and stay and network, or chat with other local business people, for as long or as little as they like.
Unlike other networking groups, there are no contracts involved, no fees and no restrictions on numbers of people in each profession.
Chris Harding, one of the organisers of Sandgrounders Business Club, said: “Our last meeting saw our best ever attendance, and we have enjoyed seeing the numbers grow.
“We are looking to end the year in style and we would love to see people coming to join us for what will be an enjoyable occasion, as well as a fruitful networking opportunity.
“As we are nearing Christmas, we will be offering one free drink to everyone who comes on the night, which could be an alcoholic drink, a soft drink or a hot drink.

“People are welcome to join us from 5pm onwards.
“We are really looking to welcome some great speakers through Andrew Hilbert and Claire Simmo from Dune Radio and Scott Blundell from the Southport FC Community Foundation.
“People will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what they do.
“If anyone else is interested in becoming a sponsored speaker at our events in the new year, please get in touch.”
Each month sees two guest speakers invited to give short talks to guests – one a sponsored speaker, the other a community / local interest speaker.
The sponsored speaker spot costs just £75.
The Sandgrounders Business Club is organised by Southport Football Club, Birkdale Insurance Group, Midgley Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning and Stand Up For Southport and takes place on the second Wednesday of every month.
