Sandgrounder Radio in association with Peoples Bus have been helping to deliver thousands of donations, from local people in the Southport area to the International Aid Trust as part of The Lakeside Church’s Ukraine Appeal.

The Peoples Bus Sandgrounder Shuttle, driven by Sandgrounder Radio presenter, James Owen, was packed full of donations from bedding and clothing to dried foods and medical supplies.

The bus then made the journey from Southport to the International Aid Trust depot near Preston.

The donations will then be taken to help those in need in Ukraine and along the border

Sandgrounder Radio’s Content Director, Andy Hilbert said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to help with such an important appeal and to do our bit to help those in need”. “We have a really special relationship with Andrew and the team at Peoples Bus and as two local businesses working together for such an important cause, it makes it all the more special”.

Samual O’Brien from Lakeside Church in Southport, which have received thousands of donations for their appeal from local people said:“Thank you for sending the bus and James along. It was a fantastic help.”
