We’re delighted to announce that Anytime Fitness Southport is under new ownership and management.
The 24-hour gym is situated in the Ribble Buildings, on Garrick Parade (just off Lord Street), close to the entrance of Morrisons supermarket.
The new owner is Alex Ivanoff, a former Royal Marine who has been the owner of Anytime Fitness Maghull for the past three years.
An Anytime Fitness Southport spokesperson said: “Alex is now at the helm here in Southport and is looking forward to meeting our fabulous, loyal members in the coming weeks.
“He is also passionate about engaging with the local community and aims to firmly establish Anytime Fitness Southport at the heart of the community here on Lord Street and beyond.
“So feel free to pop in and say hello or drop us a line. Alex will always make time for you and wants to listen to your feedback.
“Anytime Fitness Southport is Southport’s only 24-hour gym, equipped with the most modern, cleanest equipment, with the friendliest staff.”
Alex served in the Royal Marines, spending nine years in places including Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
He then worked in the Middle East as a close protection bodyguard protecting American diplomats. He also guarded key military personnel during conflict with Somali pirates in east Africa.
Alex opened his first Anytime Fitness gym in Maghull in 2018, with the aim of creating “a true community spirit”.
Alex said: “I’ve taken new management in Southport due to the owners seeking my help to inject some of the success we have enjoyed in Maghull.
“We are Southport’s only 24-hour club with state-of-the-art equipment and now a fantastic and approachable team whose main aim is to assist our members and the wider community of Southport to achieve their fitness goals both physical and mental.
“This lockdown period has affected many people in lots of ways including small businesses such as mine.
“Although we are a franchise the clubs are run independently and we have faced our own battles, but we are hopefully on the other side now.”
