There are lots of places in Southport where you can buy your poppies to support the Royal British Legion ahead of Remembrance Sunday (12th November 2023).
People can visit a number of ‘Poppy Appeal Community Hubs’, located around Southport.
Southport Royal British legion is also operating some pop-up hubs at various times, including next to Southport War Memorial and inside Southport Market.
The Armed Forces Community Hub on Wesley Street also has poppies available.
Details of the Remembrance Sunday parade and service in Southport are also below.
A Southport Royal British Legion spokesperson said: “This year we are doing things slightly differently!
“We are operating Poppy Appeal Community Hubs. Central locations across the Southport area, where you can go and buy your Poppy.
“There will be a Poppy Hub near you, here is the list!

Southport 2023 Remembrance Service and Parade Details

Details have been revealed for the 2023 Remembrance Sunday event (12th November 2023) taking place in Southport.
The annual commemorations of the fallen are being led by Southport Royal British Legion with support from Sefton Council.
Veterans are invited to take part in the parade with members of the public invited to come and support and remember those who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of others.
Southport Royal British Legion Chairman Major Nick McEntee said:
“The entire parade will form up on Wesley Street. Anyone wishing to march should make their way to Wesley Street from 9.30am.
“You’ll have the opportunity to grab a coffee from our Armed Forces Community Hub and/or a bacon or sausage barm from our friends Walkers On Wesley Street
“At 10.30am the parade will leave Wesley Street.
“It will then march up Tulketh Street, and onto Chapel Street.
“At 10.45am at the junction between Chapel Street and London Street, the parade will pick up anyone wishing to march a shorter distance to the memorial.
“At 10.50am the parade will form up around The Memorial for the start of the Remembrance Service.
“Members of the public, not marching, should aim to be in place before 10.30am.”
