A Southport bar and cafe which is famous for its gin is looking forward to celebrating World Gin Day this Saturday (12th June)!
Remedy, “a perfectly placed retreat for those who enjoy life’s little pleasures”, has some special surprises for customers.
The venue at Town Hall Gardens on Lord Street will be doing gin tasting, allowing visitors to try something new.
For those not keen on gin, Remedy is also famous for its home-made coffee and cake, freshly cooked meals and fine malt whisky. The business also has a second venue, on Botanic Road in Churchtown Village.
Owner Susannah Porter said: “Remedy on Lord Street will be doing Gin Tasting with our lovely customers from 3pm – trying some new gins we have not supplied before
“Gin of the week is Tanqueray Rangpur – made with Rangpur Limes to add a difference to the palate – just £4.50 (£6 double) with tonic, fresh lime and blueberries.
“Remedy will have cute 100ml bottles of Southporter Gin available for sale at just £6.95.”
The venue has earned a great reputation as the place to go in Southport for the very best artisan gins.

Susannah Porter said: “Our partners at Southport Whisky Club were the first to introduce us to great, craft made gin back in 2015, we fell in love with it and decided to sell a few of our favourites beside our coffee. Who knew that within six months of opening we would have 80 gins on the shelves and the taxi drivers in Southport were calling us the ‘Gin Bar’.
“We are proud to be Southport’s Original Gin Bar!
“Our staff all have their favourite gins, they are knowledgeable and passionate about making great gin and tonics. Every other week we aim to introduce a new gin to you, along with reminding you about some old favourites. Everybody loves a bargain and our Gin of The Week and corresponding Cocktail of the Week are great value for money.
“We serve the perfect gin because we serve it the way you like it!”
Remedy was born on Lord Street in Southport in July 2015, with the Churchtown venue opening in December 2017.
