Two Southport business owners who got married last year are inviting everyone to their Queenscourt Rocks Charity Event!
This fantastic fundraiser for Queenscourt Hospice will take place at The Thatch & Thistle pub on Norwood Road in Southport from midday on Saturday 29th August 2026 – August Bank Holiday Weekend.

Queenscourt Rocks, sponsored by Eckerlsey’s Blinds, is being organised by Chris and Sarah Hesketh, owners of FenneeKay Hair & Beauty on Lord Street, which celebrated its fifth anniversary last month.
Chris and Sarah tied the knot last year after eight years together.
In April, Queenscourt Hospice announced that it will be reducing its in-patient ward from ten to five beds, as it continues to face financial uncertainty.
The hospice is being forced to consider reducing vital services as it operates with a £2 million deficit.
The need for people to come out and support Queenscourt’s fundraising efforts is greater than ever, as our hospice marks 35 years since it was officially opened by Princess Diana in 1991.
Chris and Sarah Hesketh said:
“We’re raising money for Southport’s much-loved Queenscourt Hospice — a place that means so much to so many local families.
“Funding is incredibly tight, so we want to do our bit and bring the community together for a huge Family Fun Day Fundraiser at The Thatch & Thistle.
“Throughout the day, we’ll have acts of all kinds performing on our Mighty Radio stage in the pub grounds, then as the evening rolls in, the music continues inside with live bands for the adults.
“We’re still confirming more acts, performers and surprises — but this is already shaping up to be a massive day for an amazing cause.

“We will be holding a meeting this coming Tuesday (12th May 2026) at 5:30pm at The Thatch & Thistle for anybody interested in performing or being involved in the event.
“Whether you’re a solo singer, band, dance school, comedian or entertainer — we’d love to hear from you!
“We are also looking for any businesses or individuals who would kindly like to donate prizes for our raffle, tombola or auction.
