This April, in exchange for a donation to Queenscourt Hospice, Queenscourt are able to offer you the opportunity to book an appointment to have a Will professionally written with a participating local solicitor.

*For complex Wills that require more time, Solicitors will advise of any additional charges on top of the donation.

Andrea Parkes, Individual Giving & Legacy Fundraiser at Queenscourt said:

“We would like to thank all the local Solicitors that are taking part and helping us make ‘Make a Will month’ happen, we are delighted to have them all on board. Making a Will is important at whatever stage of your life as it provides you with peace of mind that your loved ones will be taken care of and that your wishes have been noted.

“Whether you have just bought your first home, started your own family, or your life circumstances have changed, it is always a good idea to Make a Will.

“Queenscourt Make a Will Month is a fantastic way to have a Will professional written by a local Solicitor, whilst also supporting your local hospice at the same time.”

After you have looked after your nearest and dearest in your Will, a gift to Queenscourt could help the hospice continue to provide support to local people when they need our compassionate care the most.

Liz Hartley, Fundraising Manager at Queenscourt Hospice, said:

“We are so grateful to the local solicitors who are able to give up their time again this year to support Queenscourt during Will Month 2025.

“Since Queenscourt’s Make a Will Month campaign was launched in 2014, it has raised over £128,000 and seen more than 1,300 Wills written.

“The future of your local Hospice relies upon people like you remembering us in your Will. It’s a simple way of ensuring that we’ll be here to care for generations to come. Once you have provided for your loved ones, please consider leaving a donation to Queenscourt.”

There is no obligation for you to include a gift to the hospice in your Will, however, any gift in your Will made to a UK registered charity such as Queenscourt Hospice, will be tax free and may help reduce the amount of Inheritance Tax your estate would otherwise have to pay.

Appointments are on a first come first served basis at: www.queenscourt.org.uk/makeawillmonth.
