We all know how important it is to remember a loved one and all that they meant to us, which is why Queenscourt Hospice is delighted to launch its 2021 Forget-Me-Not Appeal.
As Queenscourt celebrates its Pearl Anniversary and 30 years of providing compassionate care for local people with life-limiting illnesses, it is inviting you to celebrate someone you love, whilst also raising much-needed funds for your local hospice.
Over the past 12 months the Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on Queenscourt’s fundraising events and initiatives, which has resulted in a significant loss of income for the hospice. It has never needed your support more and is therefore hoping that as many people as possible will get involved by making a donation and dedicating a flower in its lovely virtual Forget-Me-Not Meadow.
Every donation will help Queenscourt to continue providing exceptional palliative care for over 1,800 patients every year, and support for their families, so the Hospice is appealing for people to please give as generously as you can.
It couldn’t be easier to get involved. Simply go to https://visufund.com/forget-me-not-appeal-2021 where you can make your donation, choose your flower and its colour and then write a special message in honour of a loved one. You can even upload a photo of your special person and can share your flower with friends and family on Facebook and Twitter.
“After the exceptionally challenging year that we have all had, it is wonderful to see Spring come around again,” said Kate Tipton-Thomas, Head of Income Generation and Communications at Queenscourt.
“Whilst we cannot yet invite people into our beautiful Hospice gardens, we are hoping to create a magnificent virtual Forget-Me-Not Meadow filled with heart-felt messages in celebration of loved ones. We hope that you will join us in this celebration by dedicating a flower to someone who is special to you. Every donation really does make a difference.”
