The Fundraising Manager of Queenscourt is getting ready to swim with sharks to raise money for the hospice!
Liz Hartley will lead 11 other daredevils as they’re surrounded by some of the ocean’s most awe-inspiring predators in a Shark Dive at Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire on Saturday 18th April 2026.
They will take the plunge at the aquarium’s enormous Caribbean Reef tank, home to an incredible collection of marine life, including formidable Sand Tiger Sharks, sleek Lemon Sharks, and impressive Nurse Sharks.
Liz Hartley said: “As Fundraising Manager at Queenscourt Hospice, I’m always asking other people to step outside their comfort zones for us, so it feels only right that I do the same!
“This is a brand new fundraiser for Queenscourt and I honestly can’t think of a better way to understand what it feels like to take on a challenge in support of our hospice.
“ I’ll be diving alongside 11 other brave – and slightly nervous! – divers, all raising funds to support the incredible care Queenscourt provides to local patients and their families.
“Every pound raised helps ensure we can continue delivering specialist palliative care, supporting people at the most difficult time of their lives, and being there when it matters most.
“It’s going to be equal parts terrifying and exhilarating but completely worth it.
