The Prince Of Wales Hotel on Lord Street in Southport

Do you have any memories or old photos of the Prince Of Wales Hotel on Lord Street in Southport?

The team at the hotel, which is owned by Britannia, is keen to hear from people as they build up the history of the venue.

Southport Heritage Open Days is helping the hotel with the appeal.

They said: “History hunters – we need your help!

“Following the announcement of their guided tours for Southport’s Heritage Open Days festival in September, the team at the Prince of Wales are embarking upon an exciting new project for the hotel!

“For such a prominent hotel, there is a surprising lack of information available about its past, especially its early years.

“The Prince of Wales team are therefore on the hunt for anyone with any old photographs of the hotel, or stories of it from years gone by, so that they can build upon their records and ensure this amazing building’s history is preserved.

“If you have any stories, photographs, or know of any books etc that have this kind of information, then please contact the Prince of Wales team at reception719@britanniahotels.com  or comment below!”
