Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has written a letter of thanks to Trust staff for their response to this week’s tragic events in Southport.
Staff from Southport and Ormskirk hospitals played a key role in the immediate and ongoing response to the “awful events’’ despite the challenge of also being members of the affected community.
The Prime Minister noted ‘the hard work and professionalism’ demonstrated by all those involved and offered his heartfelt thanks on behalf of the whole country.
Chief Executive, Ann Marr OBE, shared the letter with staff, echoing the Prime Minister’s words and reminding everyone involved that their outstanding care for their patients and each other is never taken for granted.
