The search has begun to find the Sefton School Of The Year in the 2023 Pride Of Sefton Awards!
Schools are brilliant at getting involved in local issues. But which ones have gone further to really improve the world around them? We’d love to honour those that have.
This category is being sponsored by Southport College.

Southport College is proud to sponsor the Pride of Sefton School of the Year award as part of its commitment to supporting education and recognising excellence in the field.
The award isn’t just about academic performance, but about the role our schools play in the local community, supporting the borough’s young people and families.
The college looks forward to recognising the hard work and dedication of Sefton’s educators at this prestigious event.

Southport College Assistant Principal Stephen Musa said:
“At Southport College, we believe that education is the foundation for a successful future.
“That’s why we’re thrilled to sponsor the ‘School of the Year’ award and recognise the achievements of outstanding schools in our community.
“We are excited to honour the hard work and dedication of our schools, who have supported (and still do) so many children and families over the past few, very difficult, years.”
People and groups who go above and beyond to make Sefton a special place for all will be presented with their trophies and given thanks in the Princess Grace Suite at The Grand on Lord Street in Southport town centre on Friday, 28th April 2023.
The unmissable night in the Merseyside events calendar will be presented by actress and radio personality Claire Simmo, and supported by Media Partner In Demand Radio.

All those on the shortlist will be invited to a special celebratory meal in beautiful surroundings while the awards are presented, with a night of entertainment planned.
The first ever Pride Of Sefton Awards are being organised by Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group and Stand Up For Southport.
Nominations are still being invited across all 13 categories ahead of the closing date on 6th March 2023.
We are looking for nominations, across Southport, Formby, Crosby, Bootle, Maghull and elsewhere in the borough of Sefton.
