Owner Michelle Caswell is getting ready to say farewell to her customers after five years of operating the thriving Season Coffee, Bar & Kitchen in Southport.

Michelle opened the busy cafe at 14-16 King Street in Southport Market Quarter five years ago this Thursday (11th June 2026) and has thanked people for their support over the years.

Season opened on 11 June 2021 opposite Southport Market, which officially opened in July 2021 following a £1.4 million transformation as the first major success of the Southport Town Deal scheme.

Season took over two units which had been vacant for many years, one of the town centre’s eyesores, which had last operated as a Coral bookmakers.

Since opening it has become a hub for great food, great coffee, and a series of events.

The venue won the Café or Coffee Shop of the Year Award at the 2025 Your Southport Stars Awards.

Michelle Caswell said: “After five amazing years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Season.

“This little coffee shop has been such a huge part of my life, and I honestly cannot thank you all enough for the love, loyalty and support you’ve shown me over the years.

“So many of you have become far more than customers — you’ve become friends, and Season would never have been what it was without you all.

“Whilst I’m incredibly sad to be closing this chapter, I’m also excited for the next adventure.

“I’ll be heading over to help my beloved at The Workshop – small plates & wine in Waterloo before we eventually set off on our travels around Europe… eeeekkk!

“Our final days will be Thursday 11th June – Sunday 14th June 2026.

“I can’t really have one big closing party because we simply wouldn’t fit everyone in so instead, let’s make those final few days one big goodbye celebration!

“Please come and see us one last time for:

  • coffee
  • one last slice of my Mum’s homemade cake
  • a boss brekkie served all day
  • one of our delicious artisan baguettes

“Most importantly, I’d love the chance to say thank you and goodbye to as many of you as possible.

“I’ve also started an Instagram travel page where you can follow our adventures around Europe and see what we get up to

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting my dream and making Season the special place it became.

“The memories and friendships I’ve made here will stay with me forever.
