Work is continuing to create the new Werksy co-working space in Southport. Werksy co-owner Rick Blaney

The opening date has been revealed for Southport’s first ever co-working space!

Werksy will open its doors at 30 West Street – on the floors above the former Firepit / Warehouse restaurant – on Monday 8th January 2024.

Directors Sarah and Ricky Blaney said: “Werksy is opening on 8th January – to celebrate we are offering FREE days that week.

“To register please email us at werk@werksy.co

“Werksy has hot desks and dedicated desks for solopreneurs, remote workers and scaling businesses. Prices start from £65 per month.

“Solo working can be solitary, we want to change that; business networking and a community all in a beautiful space.”

Werksy will offer space across three floors inside a building on West Street in Southport town centre.

It offers: private offices; dedicated desks; hot desks; and meeting rooms; and hire-by-hour for podcasts.

The beautiful new co-working space is suitable for sole traders, small businesses, project teams and others.

Werksy has the ability to host up to 65 workers in a variety of spaces.

The new facility is suitable for a variety of people, from those looking for an escape from squeezing onto a table at home to small companies looking to upscale.

There is an open plan office on the second floor of the building where workers can co-work alongside other professionals, while the mezzanine third floor hosts offices which can accommodate small firms. There is a meeting room that members or external users can utilise.

There is space for more small firms on the top floor.

Sarah Blaney said: “We have had lots of interest in Werksy! People have been talking about this place, which is much needed in Southport.

“We have spoken with people who have been commuting to co-work in Liverpool.

“We desperately need somewhere like Werksy here in Southport and lots of people have been in touch.”
