The opening date has been revealed for the new Suzie’s restaurant in Churchtown in Southport.
The new venture will open in the former Boxtree Nurseries cafe on the corner of Cambridge Road and Manor Road (next to the mini roundabout) on Monday, 24th November 2025.
Work is nearing completion on the Village’s newest eating and drinking venue, which boats the slogan ‘Eat; Sip; Bloom’.
A Suzie’s spokesperson said: “The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here…
“After months of planning, hard work, and incredible teamwork, we’re thrilled to announce that our doors will officially open on Monday, 24th November!
“We’ll be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week from 9am onwards.
“A huge thank-you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life, you’ve all been amazing.
“But for now remember, eat, sip, bloom.”
Planning permission has previously been granted to extend and improve the building which operated as Signature Bistro until its closure.
Prior to that it had been the Boxtree Cafe for Queenscourt Hospice.
A planning statement was submitted several weeks ago to Sefton Council by Cockwill & Co which said: “With the increased indoor capacity and the upgrading of the style the premises will be more restaurant style operations with a meet and greeter, policing the entering and leaving. “The restaurant will contain around 30 covers inside and 20 outside. This is similar to the previous operator.
