The Southport African & Caribbean Heritage Association has launched a series of new Roots & Resilience Circles.
This new initiative will celebrate African and Caribbean heritage communities and their neighbours in Southport and Sefton.
It focuses on building strength and connection through our shared experiences with four events that people can book on.
Southport African & Caribbean Heritage Association (SACHA) Chair Gemma Collins, said: “Thank you to everyone who has already offered support for SACHA’s Roots & Resilience Circles project — your encouragement means so much as we prepare to launch this important community initiative.
“We’re excited to share that social media graphics are now available for you to share and that booking is open via our Linktree: SACHA | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok | Linktree
“This four-part series (October 2025 – January 2026) will provide a safe, inclusive space for African and Caribbean heritage communities and their neighbours in Southport and Sefton. “Together, we’ll focus on connection, healing, and resilience through creative activities, warm meals, and peer support.
“We’ve secured backing through the Living Well Sefton grant — and we’d love your continued support to make these sessions as impactful as possible.
“Ways you can help:
Financial contributions (materials, transport, facilitators)
In-kind support (supplies, food, printing, raffle prizes)
Volunteer help (set-up, tech, photography)
