A new newswear boutique shop is due to open in Southport town centre, replacing the Wesley Fish shop.

Wesley Fish, at 27 Tulketh Street, closed its doors last year after an impressive number of years in the town.

It will be replaced by a new shop called Vincentius.

Vincentius is a menswear boutique which provides handmade and made to measure garments.

The company is based in Liverpool.

It would add to other existing clothing brands which have opened on Tulketh Street in recent years, including Flannels, USC and Sports Direct.

On its website, Vincentius says: “Born from a tailoring background, we found a passion for producing premium handmade products crafted with the highest quality fabrics that fit & feel perfect. Our goal is to provide luxury pieces at affordable prices.

“We strive everyday to produce more and more premium pieces to allow our customers to create a capsule wardrobe. Our aim is to provide full Vincentius outfits from head to toe for any occasion.

“Vincentius is progressing as it always has done, with infinite care, making certain the pieces give exceptional feel & fit.”

A planning application for new shop front and signage has been submitted to Sefton Council.

The plans are being drawn up by PWL Architecture Ltd.
