The Grand, the iconic landmark art deco venue on Lord Street, has announced the launch of Sirocco at The Grand, a new Mediterranean-inspired restaurant located on its luxurious ground floor.
Open daily, Sirocco brings together the relaxed charm and bold flavours of Mediterranean coastal dining. The venue offers a refined yet welcoming setting where guests can enjoy everything from leisurely lunches to evening meals and drinks, with menus crafted to deliver both quality and value. Sirocco is also the perfect choice for families celebrating special occasions, from birthdays to get-togethers, the menu at Sirocco has something for everyone.
Taking inspiration from across the Mediterranean, including Italy, Spain, Greece, Morocco and France, the menu features dishes such as home-made hummus, whipped feta, croquettes, patatas bravas, and an expansive Mezze Table selection. Small plates include chorizo al vino, gruyere and spinach fondue, chicken gyros bowls and flambeed halloumi.

A dedicated Pizza & Pasta menu also features seasonal favourites like the El Fuego, Pepperoni Provençal, and Burrata Caprese Pasta, alongside hearty mains including steak frites, chicken souvlaki, Moroccan lamb stew and a range of burgers.
Guests can enjoy meals in the main Sirocco restaurant, its adjoining bar, or outside on the beautiful terrace of The Grand, ideal for al fresco dining during the summer months.
Afternoon Tea is also served with a distinctive Sirocco twist, blending classic elegance with Mediterranean influences. Guests can enjoy a beautifully presented selection of savouries and sweets in the most ideal spot for a special occasion or leisurely afternoon.

“We’re really excited to introduce Sirocco as a new addition to The Grand,” said a spokesperson for The Grand Southport. “It’s a slightly more relaxed approach to dining than we have done in the past but the feedback from guests so far has been amazing. Our chefs have put together a menu that’s creative, vibrant and accessible and people seem to be really enjoying it.”
The Grand has seen a series of enhancements since its £4 million transformation by the Mikhail Hotel & Leisure Group. Opened in July 2022, the venue has become a key destination for dining, events and entertainment in Southport. It now includes the 250-seat Princess Grace function suite, Harry’s Bar, and the rooftop Sky Bar, with views stretching to the coast.

Originally built in 1923 and repurposed in 1938 as The Grand Cinema, the building has played a central role in Southport’s architectural and cultural history. Sirocco is set to add yet another element to The Grand ensuring the venue evolves to meet the needs of residents and visitors to Southport alike.
