Residents of Southport are invited to attend a brand-new Wellbeing Fair in February 2026, a free community event bringing together a wide range of local groups, activities and organisations dedicated to supporting wellbeing across the town.
The event, 11am-4pm on Saturday 21st February 2026 at Southport Market, is inspired by the nationally recognised Five Ways to Wellbeing — Connect, Learn, Give, Take Notice and Be Active — and aims to highlight the many opportunities within Southport that help people feel healthier, happier and more connected.
Visitors will be able to chat to organisations at a marketplace of stalls, where local organisations will share information and showcase the activities they offer. Groups attending include: Active Sefton, Mums the Word, Sefton Opera, Freedom to Flourish, Southport U3A, Brighter Living Partnership, Southport Sailing Club, Southport Flower Show, Spectrum Alliance Merseyside, Art Ease and Southport Saviours.
As part of the day, there will also be a series of free taster sessions, each lasting around 15–30 minutes. These drop-in experiences will allow members of the public to try out an activity, meet the people who run it, and gain the confidence to join regular sessions in the community.
Taster sessions may include crafts, yoga, mindful drawing, basic CPR training and more — all suitable for a range of ages and abilities.
Lauren Jones from Southport Together Community Support Service said:
“This project is here to support the Southport Community after the tragic events that happened in 2024. We are delighted to offer the Wellbeing Fair to connect residents with their community and the local groups and organisations that provide brilliant opportunities promoting positive mental and physical health.”
A dedicated quiet space will be available for one-to-one conversations, offering the chance to talk privately with organisations about support, activities or opportunities that may benefit them or their families.
The Wellbeing Fair is open to all ages and will feature a wide mix of free and low-cost activities designed to make wellbeing accessible for everyone.
Organisers are working closely with local groups to ensure a diverse offering and look forward to welcoming the community for a day of inspiration, discovery and connection.
