A brand new bistro is opening its doors in Churchtown Village in Southport!
Signature Bistro will open at the site of the former Boxtree cafe and nursery, on the corner of Manor Road and Cambridge Road.
The new eatery will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner five days a week, with ‘muddy paws and boots welcome’.
Churchtown’s newest independent, family-run cafe, bar and restaurant will be open 9am-4pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 9am-3pm on Sundays, with longer hours that include evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays (9am-3pm then 5pm-11pm).
The new business will also offer private dining experiences and functions.
The site went on sale with Anthony James Estate Agents earlier this year, with inquiries flocking in as soon as the sale boards went up.
The Boxtree Kitchen cafe was previously a popular venue which sold meals, home-made cakes, hot drinks and cakes in order to raise money for Queenscourt Hospice in Southport.
The hospice bought the venue in 2015 but announced in May 2019 that it was selling the premises, as it looked to prioritise other areas of fundraising. The Box Tree had remained empty since then.
It is yet another new local, independent business arriving in Churchtown, which in recent months has welcomed others including The Dram Gift Shop, Vintage Home, Little Sparks, DBA School of Dance, Barklays, Artybitz art supplies and others.
