A unique new business which creates beautifully crafted kitchens is due to open its showroom in Southport.
Birkdale Kitchen Co will operate from the premises previously occupied by Laura Ashley on Weld Road in Birkdale Village, next door to Birkdale Train Station.
The firm is already up and running, having designed and fitted a number of luxury, bespoke kitchens designed individually for people – exactly the way they want it.
Work on the Birkdale Kitchen Co showroom is currently taking place, with the new premises due to open in March. The premises will display a wide range of styles and kitchen accessories.
The business is owned by Stephen Dunne, who has over 35 years experience designing kitchens, and Neil Gokcen, who has a background in technology.
Stephen said: “We offer beautifully designed German and British kitchens, fitted to perfection.
“At Birkdale Kitchen Co, our specialist design team is dedicated to helping you create your dream kitchen, no matter your space or budget.
“We are looking forward to people being able to visit our brand new showroom from March to view our many styles and options available for you to choose from, although our business is already open and busy designing kitchens for customers.”

Birkdale Kitchen Co expects to operate mainly in the Birkdale, Southport, Formby and surrounding areas, but will also create kitchens for anywhere in the UK. They have just completed a project for one happy customer in Bristol.
Neil said: “We offer the full range of kitchens, from designing and creating to fitting and installing them. If a client needs a home extension building then we can do that too.
“We provide a full design service, providing clients with a full 3D image of what their new kitchen or new space will look like. They can download the image onto their phone or and walk around their home with it to give them an idea of exactly what their new kitchen will look like.”
The new venture will feature some great surprises for visitors, including a secret room showcasing all the latest technology which is transforming how we use kitchens.
Dad-of-two Neil, 45, has 20 years experience as an executive in the technology sector.
He said: “Our kitchens are designed to not only be stunningly beautiful, they’re created to be ultra-functional with innovative technology for the ultimate convenience and practicality.
“At Birkdale Kitchen Co, our design team delivers just that – an attractive and enjoyable kitchen perfect for entertaining.
“We are offering people some exciting new technology.

“In the middle of our new showroom in Birkdale we are going to have a secret ‘connected-room’, containing all the latest technology.
“When you walk in you’ll be able to ask an Amazon Alexa to open the oven door, turn the oven on and the lights ceiling lights will even flash when your temperature has been reached!
“Wireless charging technology will mean you can put your mobile phone down on the worktop and it will charge, without the hassle of having to find a phone charger and plug it in.
“There is lots of great kitchen technology available now which we can include within our designs which will make everyday life easier for people.
“We want people to be intrigued when they walk into what we think will be the most unique kitchen showroom in the UK.
“There is a real gap in the market for something like Birkdale Kitchen Co.”
Father-of-three Stephen Dunne, 55, has huge experience in the kitchen industry.
He said: “I have been installing kitchens for people since I left school.
“I was fitting kitchens for 20 years, before moving into designing them. My previous showroom was in Longton, and I am looking forward to opening our brand new showroom in Birkdale.
“Our kitchens are conveniently designed, and extremely practical – exactly the way you want.

“They are not only designed to offer an impressive space for entertaining, they are also designed to be practical, functional and convenient. We have carefully selected a unique range of incredible kitchen accessories that suit all styles.”
The showroom will focus mainly on German-made Leicht kitchens and British Symphony kitchens, due to their superior quality.
Other well-known brands which they offer include: Neff, Siemens, Blanco, Caeserstone, Cosentino, Corian Solid Surfaces, Dekton, 1810, Quooker, Sensa by Constantino and Silestone.
For Neil and Stephen, Birkdale Village is the perfect location for their new Birkdale Kitchen Co venture.
