How much time do you devote to training your staff – and yourself?
How well do you retain members of your team, and could developing their skills encourage them to stay for longer?
At the next meeting of the monthly Sandgrounders Business Club networking group this Thursday (12th September 2024), the headline speaker will be Elaine Warner, the Managing Director of Care Business Associate Training in Southport.
The meeting is free to attend, with anyone keen to attend invited to registered here: https://bit.ly/3ZlhIU8
Gatherings are held at Southport Football Club on Haig Avenue in Southport.
Doors open at 5pm with open networking with a headline speaker and a community speaker starting from 6pm.
Southport FC Commercial Manager Darren Court will also give a brief update on the club.
For anyone not familiar with this venue it does has adequate free car parking spaces directly outside, with a paid bar available inside.
Elaine Warner said: “I am looking forward to joining my first Sandgrounders Business Club, and meeting everyone there.
“It will be a really good opportunity to talk about who we are, and what we do.
“I am the Managing Director of Care Business Associate Training, a Southport-based national training provider.
“We predominantly provide training to the health and social care sector, but we also deliver cross-sector training such as First Aid, Moving & Handling, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene for example.
“My background, which spans over 30 years, has involved working with children, young people and adults in a variety of settings, from children’s homes to mental health settings, supporting people with physical and learning disabilities; social, emotional and behavioural difficulties; mental health issues; substance misuse; domestic abuse survivors and other trauma and abuse.
“I am passionate about ensuring high quality, impactful, cost effective training gets delivered to people who support others.
“I will be asking how much of a priority do people give to training their workforce.
“I will be speaking about the importance and relevance of upskilling your employees, and the significant impact that has on staff retention.
“As an established training provider, we do a lot of work with the health and social care industry, and also work a lot with firms across sectors providing first aid courses, health and safety training etc.
“There are lots of requirements for companies to have and we can help them to keep up to date with what they need.
“We also provide leadership and management training. Many firms are very good at ensuring their employees have the skills and knowledge they need. But what about your own personal development? Do you give yourself enough time to allow yourself to learn new skills which might have a significant impact on your business? It’s something worth thinking about.
“I will be bringing flyers along with me to Sandgrounders Business Club with a discount on them, and I will be happy to answer any questions that anyone might have.”
