Southport Pleasureland is celebrating this year’s Mother’s Day (Sunday, 27th March) by allowing mums to ride for free!
The UK’s most family friendly amusement park, on Marine Drive in Southport, reopens for the 2022 season today (Saturday).
And the popular attraction is extending a special offer for mothers across the UK this Sunday.
Bookings can be made through the Southport Pleasurerland website.
A Southport Pleasureland spokesperson said: “This Mother’s Day… MUMS GO FREE!
“Are you still looking for Mother’s Day plans this weekend? Why not spend the day as family and head down to Southport Pleasureland. What is even better is Mums ride free, all day!”
The park boasts a wide range of rides and attractions for people of all ages.
People are being encouraged to save money by booking their tickets through the Southport Pleasurerland website rather than on the gate.
There are rides there for little ones such as the Apple Coaster, Balloons, Carousel, Convoy, Ghost Train, Dumbos, Dock Funhouse and many others; and attractions for older riders such as the Waltzers, Flying Swings, Frisbee and Looping Coaster.
Located by the coast, Southport Pleasureland is the perfect day out for the whole family. There’s a fun mix of rides and amusements to suit all ages as well as beautiful landscaped spaces and a great choice of food and drink.
People can also watch out for entertainment and special events throughout the year.
The gates open at 11am and close at 5pm.
Two exciting new attractions are due to open soon. The Big Wheel Southport, a 35 metre high observation wheel with stunning views across the coast, is scheduled to open in the next few weeks. A new Viking themed adventure golf course is on track to open this summer.
Southport Pleasureland Project Manager Mari Lewis said: “We can’t wait for people to return this weekend!
“With more really sunny weather forecast this weekend, visitors are going to be able to come and have a lovely time.
“This has been a very busy few weeks for us getting everything ready, it has all been really coming together in the last few days.
“Hopefully, for everyone, things will be back to normal this year after a difficult couple of years.
“The past two years, we haven’t been able to open in March.
“Hopefully, 2022 will see everyone having the freedom to do the things they enjoy doing.”
Southport Pleasureland opens for the 2022 season on Saturday, 26th March, ahead of the Easter Holidays.
