A new interior design company based in Southport is looking forward to working with home owners and businesses to transform their spaces into something extraordinary.

Mills Interiors, which is based inside Wayfarers Arcade on Lord Street, believes that where people spend their time “should be a reflection of your personality and style”.

The business is owned by Claire Mills, who is eager to elevate properties in Southport, around the Liverpool City Region and across the UK.

She thrives on making changes that will improve people’s lifestyles and will work with customers on a variety of budgets on projects of all shapes and sizes.

Claire said: “I have a real passion for interior design.

“I want to transform spaces of any size into a breathtaking environment that not only looks beautiful, but also enhances your daily life.

“I believe that a great design is not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating spaces that work for the people who live, rent and work in them.

“My approach is collaborative, working closely with clients to understand their needs, tastes, and lifestyle.”

Claire had a successful career as a theatre and television actress before pursuing her dream vocation.

She completed her training at the University of the Arts London and at Chelsea College of Arts.

Claire has an eye for creating spaces that are not only visually stunning, but also highly functional and tailored to your unique requirements.

These can include families looking to elevate their homes, as well as people or businesses wanting to make their premises look as attractive as possible in order to attract more visitors and maximise their incomes.

Claire said: “I trained at RADA and enjoyed a successful career in acting.

“But interior design was always my real passion in life.

“I always walk into a property and look around to see how everything works together, what changes I would make. I would do that on stage and TV sets too!

“The Covid pandemic gave me the opportunity to reset, retrain and pursue what I enjoy doing most, and Mills Interiors was born.

“I love seeing people’s reactions when they see the huge impact that an enhanced space can have on their lives.

“Homes and workplaces are where we all spend so much time, and they deserve to be as good as we can be. Don’t waste your time settling for second best.

“I work with people with a variety of budgets. Some people think that with interior design you always need to spend a fortune, but that is not true. There are some great tricks and quick wins that can make a real difference.

“It’s always important to have a good conversation with clients to understand what they really want, and what they need. Every person is unique; every space is different. No two projects are the same.

“One thing which does hold true is that your space should be a reflection and an extension of who you are, which is why working closely with someone to understand their thoughts and desires is vital.

“I love a challenge! I will work anywhere I am needed, whether it’s in the UK or abroad.

“I am very friendly and approachable, please get in touch and I will always be happy to have a conversation.”
