KGV Sixth Form in Southport is really proud to announce the launch of their brand new School of Medicine

KGV Sixth Form in Southport is really proud to announce the launch of its brand new School of Medicine.

Created in partnership with BioGrad and working with the Merseyside and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, this fabulous initiative has been specifically designed to amplify the studies of the college’s high achieving students looking to pursue a medical career.

It will run alongside the students’ A Level programme and will consist of valuable weekly sessions designed to give them a real head start in this highly competitive field.

As part of the partnership with BioGrad, all students accepted onto the programme will be able to benefit from an amazing 5 day intensive Emergency Medicine course, at no cost to themselves; as well as a varied programme of guest speakers and tailor made UCAT preparation sessions.

KGV’s School of Medicine students will also have guaranteed work placements with medical and pharmaceutical professionals, including working at Southport Hospital, as well as being able to partake in inspiring trips and visits throughout their time at KGV.

They will also have a dedicated experienced Progress Tutor who will support them every step of the way.

This is a really exciting initiative for KGV students to have access to and will without doubt be beneficial to their university application and career journey.

The college would like to thank both Biograd and Merseyside and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals for their commitment to the brand new School of Medicine and looks forward to working in partnership with them.
