Take a look inside the stylish House Of Ivy – Southport’s newest bar hospitality licensed venue.

The brand new café bar opens at 663 Lord Street this Thursday (19th August).

It is the newest addition to the town’s fast-growing Northern Quarter, which features a fine collection of top class bars, restaurants and hotels.

House Of Ivy Bar and Kitchen lives up to its name with beautiful flowers on the front.

Inside, the roof is decorated with foliage, flowers, lighting and a disco ball.

Near the front door, visitors will be wowed by a wall of ivy, topped off with a House Of Ivy neon sign.

The DJ booth has a real wow factor with a wall of flowers behind it, in addition to a pink neon sign saying ‘God Is A DJ’.

Perched along a wall is a bicycle with panniers overflowing with flowers.

Underneath it is a sign saying ‘Life’s A Journey – Enjoy The Ride’.

House of Ivy will host a number of Southport’s best House DJs on a weekly basis with some exciting headline guests from further afield booked over the coming months to perform too.

Chantelle said: “As a passionate DJ and producer, I can’t wait to host some fantastic DJ’s here.

“As we are a café we will be keeping our music low level and background during the day but still playing multiple genres of house music.

“Into the evenings you can expect the atmosphere to build slightly but the music won’t be pumping out.

“What we want to bring is a nice atmosphere with nice music where people can enjoy food and drinks with their friends.”

Equally stylish as the decor is the new food menu, with specialities including a sharing charcuterie board and a chocolate calzone dessert.

The House of Ivy food menu also boasts a selection of pizzas, salads, sandwiches, fries and sides, with a full vegan and gluten free menu alongside the regular menu.

The venue will serve its full food menu from midday until 8pm / 9pm from Thursday to Sunday. After this time there will be a limited pizza menu available for late night snacks.

The cocktail menu brings something for everyone and the wine menu has many options from beautiful Italian specialty wine to Petit Chablis & Whispering Angel.

Chantelle and Paul Drewery, the husband and wife team behind House of Ivy, have run successful bars in the town for many years alongside mobile bars and event companies. They also operated a very successful cocktail deliveries service during the recent lockdowns.

Chantelle said: “We are very excited to reveal House of Ivy to the public.

“We have worked tirelessly in transforming the building into something jaw droppingly beautiful.

“We really want each customer to have the wow factor when they walk through the door.”

Paul said: “This is our first venture into food and we are very excited.

“Chantelle and I are both massively into our food and combining our taste and experiences into a menu that works practically for the size and space of our venue has been a challenge but we are very happy with the results.”
