InvestSefton and Citizen First LCR are holding an event for any Sefton residents who have a powerful idea for a business that helps deal with a local health or care issue.
Taking place from 5pm to 6.30pm at Southport Market on Wednesday 23rd April, the event is designed to help people get paid to build their inspiring business.
Citizen First LCR is making funding available for eight inspiring local people who have strong ideas about how to improve local health or care issues through a new business.
Eight people who put forward with successful proposals will receive a year’s real living wage salary of £23,000. They will also get £5,000 of seed funding and expert support to make their business idea a reality.
The event in Southport will help people find out more about the initiative and how to submit their inspiring ideas. Anyone wanting to sign up for a place at the event should register via the link at www.publiclife.org.uk/citizen-first.
Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills said:
“This event is to help those people, maybe hidden in our communities, who have inspiring ideas that could change theirs and others’ lives but who need the financial backing and advice to turn their inspiration into reality.
“If you’re a Sefton resident and that sounds like you, make sure you come along to our event.”
People who can’t attend the Southport event but who have an inspiring idea that fits the bill can also find out more about the Citizen First LCR initiative at www.publiclife.org.uk/citizenfirst.
