Families can enjoy a Heritage Holiday Fete in Southport this weekend.
A Heritage Holiday Fete – The Creative Village is coming to Wayfarers Shopping Arcade on Lord Street from midday until late this Saturday (23rd November 2024).
It’s taking place on the same day as the big Southport Festive Fun Day on Lord Street, right outside the arcade.
Event organiser Dr Eric Lybeck said: “This Saturday, join us for a day filled with seasonal charm and unique, creative experiences as we celebrate The Engine Room’s relaunch as Southport’s new creative hub!
“Aligned with the town’s Festive Fun Day, our event will add a twist, embracing a harvest festival spirit with just a touch of Christmas.”

What’s Happening? A Nod to the Harvest Season – a celebration in the main atrium of Wayfarers Arcade will highlight Southport’s rich heritage and creativity. Enjoy mulled cider, sparkling drinks, and specialty coffee with friends
Entertainment for All Ages – From delightful pop-up performances by a 1920s jazz trio – Café Society Jazz Trio and Clown Eckie, who will share a glimpse into his exhibit on the world of clowning and buffoonery.
Heritage & History – Drop into taster workshops designed for adults and families alike to explore the history of the Wayfarers Arcade and Southport’s cultural roots. Local historians and speakers will share stories and insights that bring our town’s past to life.
Stay for the Night – The celebration continues past the arcade’s usual closing, so dance, explore, and enjoy the enchanting night-time ambiance of Wayfarers Arcade. This event will be the first of many as The Engine Room ushers in a series of ‘Creative Village’ happenings coming in the New Year.
Raffle – Buy tickets to bid on a variety of luxury gifts, stays and experiences! – £4 for one ticket, £10 for three.
