Halliwell Jones Kia in Southport is looking forward to honouring the amazing people who make such a huge difference to charity and fundraising in our community at the 2025 Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards.
The established business, which has a long history of supporting local initiatives, is delighted to support the Sefton Charity Champion Award at The Grand in Southport on Friday 25th April 2025.
The awards have received over 2,000 nominations in recent weeks for inspirational figures from Bootle, Formby, Southport, Crosby, Maghull, and across Sefton.
The Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards will see 13 awards presented to those who work tirelessly and selflessly to make our area a better place for all.
Yvonne Watton, Head of Business, Halliwell Jones Kia Southport, said:

“As sponsors of the Sefton Charity Champion Award, we are honoured to recognise those making a real difference in our community.
“Halliwell Jones has been established in the Southport area since 1987 helping and supporting local initiatives.
“With the opening of our new Kia dealership, we are looking to continue that legacy, and we are delighted to support this fantastic event.
“We look forward to presenting this prestigious award alongside so many inspiring individuals.”

Last year’s Sefton Charity Champion winner was local rail runner Alex Rigby, from Bootle, who ran through every train station on the Merseyrail Northern Line – 37 train stations in total – raising over £30,000 for Centre 56, a place of safety and hope for families in Kirkdale for more than 50 years
Last month, Alex went one better when he ran past every train station on the Merseyrail network, 69 in total, raising over £50,000 in a 107 mile run.
Honoured as a Finalist last year was Sue Connerty. Sue has worked tirelessly raising funds on behalf of the Walking With Giants Foundation, inspired by her son with a condition called Primordial Dwarfism. Sue set up the foundation to help other families facing similar hurdles.
Also celebrated as a Finalist in 2024 was Lynne Warham.
Lynne is a resident of Maghull and every year raises money for local charities through her page ‘Christmas Cheer’. She does a Christmas Cheer jokeathon throughout December and January, going live every night.

All eyes are now on who will win the 2025 Sefton Charity Champion Award in a record year of nominations.
