A grandma is shaving her head on Christmas Day to raise money for charity after her grandson was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Margaret Cooper, from Ormskirk, is braving the shaver after being inspired by the bravery of grandson Paul Parletti, aged 27, from Southport. Paul’s brother has also fought testicular cancer.
People are being urged to donate to the appeal with Margaret pledging to post the images on social media of her new look.
She said: “At 63 years of age I have never done anything like this before but this is something so close to my heart I had to do something.
“I have decided that I’m going to do a sponsored head shave on Christmas Day to raise money, some for Clatterbridge Hospital in Liverpool and some to support the people really close to me who have been through and still going through this awful c word, to be able to give them something back and to the hospital which have been amazing throughout.
“So to all my friends and family who know me and what our family have been through, please could you support me on this great cause and sponsor me!
“I know times are hard at the moment and with Christmas but even if it’s something little it would be much appreciated and I will be posting pics on Christmas Day.”
