After months of uncertainty, Southport Community Sports are pleased to announce that they have secured the lease of the YMCA building and subsequently it will now remain open!
It will be rebranded as The Southport Community Sports Centre.
This iconic building has been saved, along with all the activities and sports that take place there – The Climbing Room, Roller Skating, Children’s Birthday Parties, Squash Courts, The Gym, The Kidz Holiday Club and ALL sports!
Plus, some very new and exciting developments from August …
– Imagination Station will be returning. Bringing a fun, wonderful and colourful interactive activity experience for children aged 1-7 (Bookings being taken soon).
– A community cafe opening with an outdoor play area!
– Yoga, Pilates,and Zumba (recruiting instructors now).
– Arts Clubs for children and adults.
Stephen Haworth from The Southport Community Sports Centre said: “Help keep this historic building open and please provide your support to the Southport Community Sports Team.
