There was a superb atmosphere at the Comedy Bingo fundraising night organised by GABA (Go Anywhere Be Anything) at Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant in Southport on Friday night (13th February 2026).
There was fabulous support from local people for this event which was hosted by Brendan Riley with backing from Silcock Leisure Group and Southport Hesketh Round Table.
Bingo players enjoyed a fun night out in a great events venue with lots of prizes to be won.

GABA was founded by two Southport sisters, born out of a desire to transform personal tragedy into a catalyst for hope and healing as the girls refuse to let the incident define their future.
Instead, they channel their energy into supporting local communities that have faced similar hardships.
They said: “We would like to say an immense thank you to people who have turned up and to all the local businesses who kindly supplied raffle prizes, and to Brendan Riley from Comedy Bingo who was a superb host!

“We’d also like to thank Silcock Leisure Group for their support for the event in such a superb venue.”
Next up is the first ever GABA Family Go Anywhere Be Anything Ball.
Money raised through sales will fund peer-led knife crime awareness in schools and colleges, and a drive to bring in compulsory first aid training for all pupils.

It will also support the KnifeSavers campaign which is led by surgeon Nikhil Misra who operated on and saved the elder sister’s life at University Hospital Aintree.
The Ball will be hosted by BBC One Show and BBC Radio Merseyside host Kevin Duala.

It will take place at the Waterfront Southport Hotel on the Promenade in Southport on Friday 20th March 2026.
