It was a tough challenge covering steep slopes in rainy weather, with the payback of stunning Yorkshire scenery and raising vital funds for the Fletchers Foundation.

A Fletchers Group spokesperson said: “We completed 26 miles including 5,000 ft (1,600 metres) of vertical ascent covered in 12 hours over wet and rough terrain.

“Huge congratulations to Team Fletchers for completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge this weekend, and raising over £1,700 for our charity of the year, Fletchers Foundation.

“The spectacular and memorable challenge encompassed the three major and best-known peaks in the Yorkshire Dales – Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough – offering some of the best scenery in the country.

“It took stamina and determination, something our EL/PL team has in abundance.

“While they recover from the inevitably sore legs and blisters, we’d like to thank everyone who supported our team and donated to such a great cause – supporting individuals who have suffered life-changing injuries or trauma as a result of a serious accident, clinical negligence or illness but are unable to seek a legal resolution.”

Fletchers Group clients come to them during what is arguably one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

Their passion for catastrophic injury began in 1987, when former Chairman, Rob Fletcher, formed a new legal firm specialising personal injury litigation. As a motorbike enthusiast, it was his vision to protect the rights of injured accident victims.

Fletchers was created with just nine members of staff. But they soon built up an enviable reputation for being one of the best in the industry; enhanced by the leadership of Rob’s nephew, and former CEO, Ed Fletcher, who brought to the firm his lived experience of the staggering impact of a serious spinal cord injury.

Now owned by global private equity firm, Sun Capital Partners, and led by CEO Peter Haden, Fletchers Group is home to many specialist law firms and personal injury brands, including; Patient Claim Line, Cycle SOS and Minton Morrill.

The firm has an office on Hoghton Street in Southport town centre, plus other sites in Manchester and Leeds, hosting more than 500 team members and some of the best legal minds in the field.
