Two colleagues from Fletchers Solicitors have completed an incredible four-day cycling challenge from Salzburg to Vienna, covering around 60–80 miles each day.
Lena Farnell, the Cycle Team Leader and Associate at Fletchers, and Clariece Warrior, the Head of Compliance at Fletchers, were riding to raise funds for the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation, which supports vulnerable individuals and communities by funding programmes that improve wellbeing, create opportunities and deliver lasting change.
Lena Farnell said: “What a few days it’s been! I’ve represented Fletchers Solicitors alongside my fabulous colleague, Clariece Warrior, cycling from Salzburg to Vienna in support of The Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation.
“When you spend hours in the saddle, pushing through the miles, tiredness and the inevitable aches and pains, you see people for who they really are.
“Some struggled more than others, some were nursing injuries, some flew up the hills, while others clung on for dear life and could quite literally taste blood!
“Regardless of ability, everyone encouraged, supported and looked out for each other. I think that’s what makes experiences like this so special, you’re outside your comfort zone, you can’t hide behind job titles or roles. You simply become a group of people working together, encouraging each other and sharing the highs, the lows, the laughter and occasionally the pain!
“These are the moments that matter, the moments that take you out of your comfort zone, bring people together, create genuine connections and leave you with memories that stay with you.
“I’ve come away from Salzburg to Vienna with some very special memories, a huge sense of achievement and, once again, some fantastic new connections.
