Here’s the first look inside the top quality new chippy opening soon in Hesketh Bank in Lancashire!
Peet’s Traditional Fish and Chips will open in the former NatWest bank building at 19 Station Road, opposite Booths supermarket, on Tuesday, 13th December 2022.
New signage has been installed by Graffiti Signworks, new equipment has been installed, new menu boards are up, thorough cleaning has taken place, new staff have been recruited with staff training is underway.

The new venture is owned by Kevin and Nicola Peet, who have built up a superb reputation as the owners of the Peet’s Plaice fishmongers in Churchtown Village in Southport.
Local fisherman Kevin has been fishing off the coast of Southport, Formby and along the Lancashire coast for the past 40 years.

He often lands plaice, cod and other fish locally, as well as shrimps, which he used to make his own freshly potted shrimps. He also has his own smoker which he uses to create freshly smoked fish.
He will source the freshest fish for Peet’s Traditional Fish and Chips in Hesketh Bank from Fleetwood Fish Market, with fish and seafood caught off the coast of Scotland, with customers given the regular choice of: cod, haddock, plaice or hake.
Chips will be made in a room inside the building using potatoes sourced from a farm in Banks.
Specials boards have also been put into place so customers can enjoy the finest seasonal dishes too. The building retains its own giant built-in safe from its days as a bank – now just a storage room.

Kevin Peet said: “Everything is coming together really well! I have invested a fortune into giving this place a really fresh, new look.
“The venue has been thoroughly cleansed with beautiful new lighting installed, brand new toilets and washing facilities put in, and new signage inside and outside the building.
“We have long held a 5 star Hygiene rating at Peet’s Place in Churchtown and I am determined to secure a similar rating here too. I always expect the very best.
“I can’t wait to meet our new customers, I am looking forward to saying hello to everyone. Lots of people have already been coming in and asking us how things are getting on, which we have enjoyed. There seems to be a lot of excitement about what we are creating!

“We will be open from 4.30pm on Tuesday (13th December). After that, we will be open between 11.45am and 1.30pm every lunchtime, and then between 4.30pm and 8pm every day except Sundays and Mondays.
“From the second Sunday in January, I will be looking to start our new Sunday roast dinner service. We will be offering a series of roast meats for people.
“We will also be offering enormous Yorkshire puddings that people can eat their Sunday roast dinners from! We think they will be a really big hit.

“We will have four members of staff starting out with us, and will then look to expand as our business grows.
“I have always wanted to own a fish and chip shop! I am really looking forward to seeing Peet’s Traditional Fish and Chips opening.”
